Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters. This page explains what information may be handled when you use CodeKK, contribute content as a creator, or install CodeKK DevLens. We want you to understand how things work without having to read a bunch of complicated legal language.
Last updated: October 17, 2026
1. Introduction
CodeKK is a platform built for developers to discover useful UI components, explore web development articles, and share their work with others. Developers can browse components contributed by creators, read blogs, and find ideas for their own projects.
We also build CodeKK DevLens, a Chrome extension that helps developers inspect website elements, understand their styling and layout, measure spacing, check contrast, and copy useful CSS or Tailwind-related information.
This policy explains how information is handled acrosscodekk.devand CodeKK DevLens. By using these services, you should understand the practices described here. Where a feature or practice changes, we may update this policy accordingly.
2. Information We Handle
The information involved depends on how you use CodeKK. Browsing the site is different from signing in, publishing a component, or interacting with the DevLens extension.
Account information
When you sign in, we use the authentication information made available through your chosen sign-in method. Depending on the provider and implementation, this may include basic account details such as your name, email address, profile image, or provider account identifier.
We do not ask creators to submit additional profile details as part of the creator conversion process at this time. Information may still be associated with an account when you publish or interact with content.
Content you publish
If you submit a blog post or component, the content and information needed to manage that submission may be processed. Published material may be visible to other visitors, along with any creator attribution displayed on the site.
Technical and usage information
When you visit the website, analytics or tracking technologies may process information about how the site is used, such as page visits, interactions, browser details, device information, or similar technical data. The precise information depends on the technologies enabled on the site.
3. Accounts and Sign In
CodeKK supports Google sign-in and other available sign-in methods. When you choose an authentication provider, that provider handles its part of the sign-in process under its own privacy policy and terms.
We use the authentication information made available to CodeKK to support account access and associate account-related activity with the appropriate user. The information available to us depends on the provider and the permissions involved.
You should review the privacy policy of your chosen authentication provider if you want to understand how it handles your information.
4. Creators and Community Content
CodeKK allows users to become creators and contribute blogs and UI components. You can start with a regular account and choose to become a creator when you want to share your work.
Submitted components and blog posts are reviewed by an administrator before they are published. A submission is not automatically made public just because it has been uploaded.
Once content is approved and published, other users may be able to view it, including the associated creator attribution shown on the site. Please avoid including personal, confidential, or sensitive information in content you intend to publish.
CodeKK makes its available components freely accessible to users. If you submit content, you should ensure you have the rights and permissions needed to share it.
5. Cookies and Website Analytics
CodeKK uses website analytics and tracking. These technologies help us understand how people use the platform and where we might improve the experience.
Depending on the analytics tools enabled, they may use cookies, similar browser storage, or other identifiers to measure visits, interactions, and general usage patterns. The information collected and the retention period depend on the tools involved.
You can review your browser settings to manage or remove cookies. Blocking certain technologies may affect some website features. Where required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate choices for non-essential tracking.
6. CodeKK DevLens Extension
CodeKK DevLens is designed to help developers inspect the structure and appearance of web pages directly in Chrome. It can display element details, CSS properties, spacing, dimensions, colours, contrast information, fonts, and other development-related information.
How webpage data is handled
DevLens processes the webpage information it needs locally in your browser to provide its inspection features. The webpage elements and styles inspected by the extension are processed locally rather than being sent to CodeKK's servers for inspection.
For example, when you select an element, DevLens can examine its layout, computed styles, dimensions, and related properties to show you the information in its developer panel.
Information displayed by the inspector may include text or other properties of the element you choose to inspect. Be mindful of the pages you inspect, particularly if they contain private or confidential information.
Local settings and copied information
DevLens includes features for working with inspection results, such as copying styles and exporting useful code. If you copy or export information, it is up to you where you paste or save that information.
The extension may use browser storage for its own settings or preferences. This is separate from processing the webpage being inspected.
Chrome permissions allow the extension to perform its stated functions. You can review its permissions on the Chrome Web Store before installing it.
This local-processing statement concerns DevLens's webpage inspection functionality. It does not mean that the CodeKK website, Chrome, or other services you use cannot process their own information under their respective policies.
8. Data Retention and Account Deletion
Information may be retained for as long as it is needed to operate the platform, maintain accounts, manage published content, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Actual retention periods depend on the type of information and the systems involved.
We have not confirmed a self-service account deletion feature for this policy. If you would like to ask about your account information or request its deletion, contact us using the email address below. We will review your request and explain what action is available, subject to applicable requirements and any information we are required to retain.
9. Security
We take the security of the platform seriously and aim to handle information responsibly. However, no website, browser extension, or method of transferring information can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You should keep your account credentials secure, use trusted devices and browsers, and avoid publishing confidential information in public components or blog posts.
10. Children's Privacy
CodeKK is intended for people interested in software development and related technical content. It is not specifically designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, please contact us so we can review the situation.
11. Changes to This Policy
CodeKK may grow, introduce new features, or change how parts of the platform work. If those changes affect privacy, we may update this page to reflect the new practices.
When we update the policy, we will change the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check it occasionally so you know how information is handled.
12. Contact Us
Have a question about this policy, your account, or how CodeKK DevLens handles webpage information? Feel free to get in touch. We would rather you ask than be left wondering.
